Karen Moore

CMT, HHP, CHt, CAMTC license #4513

I am the owner of Vista Therapeutic Specialties, established in 1998. Since the beginning I have enjoyed working with people and find it very rewarding to help them reach their goals on an individual basis. I began my studies in massage therapy in 1995 and graduated with my HHP from Healing Hands School of Holistic Health in 1997.

I have continued to explore and learn new techniques and modalities to enhance my work and have completed basic Certification in Ortho-Bionomy For many years I taught Aromatherapy and enjoy bringing this knowledge to my work to increase the therapeutic benefit of any massage. My work integrates deep tissue, myofascial realease, reiki, nueromuscular and swedish techniques and clients appreciate and enjoy my intuitive and deeply relaxing style. I have a lifelong interest in nutrition and the mind body connection and bring a deep compassion and understanding of the effects of the mind on the body to my work.

I specialize in relieving neck, back and shoulder discomfort and dysunction and increasing range of motion and ease of movement to those areas. I am also a member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP)

Emily Arey

CMT, CAMTC License #8629

I graduated from the Downeast School of Massage in Waldoboro, Maine in 1999. I gained most of my experience working at Waldoboro Chiropractic for 7 years.  There I had the privilege of working with a variety of people dealing with chronic and recent injuries, and seeing the power of massage in the healing process.  After moving across the country in 2008, I was thrilled to be able to join the crew at Vista Therapeutic Specialties.

I really enjoy working with my clients to attain their goals, whether it be relaxation or pain management. I customize each session to meet the individual needs of my clients. Your feedback is immediately used to alter levels of pressure and technique, so that you can leave feeling as relaxed and rejuvenated as possible.

As a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, I uphold to the highest ethical standards and take regular continuing education classes to keep my work fresh. I became certified in CORE Myofascial in 2007. In 2013 I qualified for certification in OrhoBionomy.  I’ve really enjoyed seeing the long lasting benefits that come from using this gentle technique.  I use all techniques I’ve learned in an integrative style.
